Palisade Falls, Bozeman MT [3200x2368]

I miss the fact that Hyalite canyon was only 20 minutes away. Palisade Falls, History Rock, Hyalite Lake, Emerald Lake, so many perfect weekend or after-work hikes right next door. Montana does something to you, man.

Independence Square (Maidan) in Kiev, Ukraine.
In April 2009, left, when a Ukrainian student group formed a smiley face, and on Thursday (Feb. 20, 2014), as protesters inspected damage from recent clashes with government forces. Via

Oh, if only we could go back to 2009, back when fascists weren’t in charge of Ukraine and slaughtering innocents on jet liners to pin more childish blame on separatists and self-defense forces.

1) Fascists aren’t in charge of Ukraine. Despite what the Russian media would have you believe (and I wonder why, it’s not like they have anything to gain by making the pro-Ukrainians look bad or anything… lol), the higher levels of Ukrainian government - all of whom were democratically elected in May despite several serious attempts by these “separatists” people are so quick to defend to disrupt the elections - are pretty much all pro-European, relatively to very progressive, and only nationalist in the sense that they want Ukraine to be independent from Russia (mentioning that because the Russian media CONSTANTLY tries to paint a lot of them as “ultra-nationalists”, which helps their little plot to depict Ukraine as run by a bunch of neo-Nazis. This is not true).
2) Please do not help the actually fascist Russian government frame the pro-Ukraine groups (almost none of which are fascist, despite their being painted as such by the slanderous Kremlin-sponsored Russian media) for a mass terrorist attack when there’s actual, legitimate evidence that the separatists are behind MH17.
3) If you are ever involved in a revolution like Euromaidan, I hope no one ever tries to paint you as a neo-Nazi or a fascist just because you refused to stand for some pro-Russian douchebag severely abusing his power and threatening everything you stand for - in the case of some of these “fascist pro-Ukrainians”, democracy. Yanukovych was a tyrant and a traitor to his own people and had to go. People get so butthurt with the pro-Ukraine groups but it’s like, what did y’all expect them to do, just sit there and do nothing while this was going on? I wouldn’t have sat there and I’m sure you wouldn’t have either, so let’s not get all pissed off at them for doing what needed to be done.

Today much of the Ukrainian Parliament actually voluntarily stepped down to facilitate a new election; if they were a “fascist Nazi junta”, I don’t think that the Prime Minister would have stepped down of his own volition. Less than a single percentage of Ukrainians support a combination of Right Sector and Svoboda; support for the far-right is so slim that it’s completely disregarded in government. But, of course, RT will spout as much propaganda as they want and people will just eat it up. Saddening.

Don’t forget that Russia has a much higher amount (percentage-wise as well, I believe) of actual Neo-Nazis.

Russia contains more than half of the neo-nazis in the world, and that’s just the ones who identify as such. The leading parties are all far-right in the conventional sense, even if they label themselves differently. Russia is an authoritarian state that claims democracy and freedom as “nazism and fascism” in order to make its people believe their way of life is the path to freedom.Sure it is.
